Osamou Miyagi, an instructor with the Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) Fire & Emergency Services-Japan (FESJ) Fire Academy, MCIPAC-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, lights a fire using a propane tank during a culminating live-fire training event held by the MCIPAC FESJ on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, July 12, 2021. Nine cadets trained for five weeks prior to participating in the live-fire training event held by MCIPAC FESJ. Upon graduating, the cadets will be sent to multiple U.S. military fire departments across Okinawa including: Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, U.S. Army Garrison Torii Station, and Naval Base White Beach.
