Army Reserve Col. Robert L. McCary, commander, 7306th Medical Exercise Support Battalion, addresses the crowd gathered for the change of command ceremony at Fort McCoy, Wis., July 14, 2021. McCary took command from Col. Neil Thowe who led the 7306th MESB for three years. The mission of the 7306th is to provide medical simulation for the exercise in the form of live role players in higher, adjacent, lower, supporting, and supported medical units on the battlefield. The MESB also provides an analyst cell to conduct a tier 2-level quality control
and review of written observations of the unit’s training.
