Donning and Doffing support…Hands on assistance putting on hazardous waste operator suits was part of the prep work for members of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Bremerton’s Decontamination Team called away to respond to a mock earthquake. By deploying a portable decontamination system, the team was able to assist mock victims potentially exposed to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and/or high explosive agent(s) during Operation Black Wind, an annual earthquake response exercise held July 16, 2021. The exercise provided the opportunity to assess how to cope and contend with a tremor and the possible hazards, potential casualties and probable aftershocks (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer).
