210716-N-OT701-1070 JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (July 16, 2021) Navy divers from Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 1 assist a diver getting out of the water at the USS Arizona Memorial, July 16. The dive was a collaborative effort between MDSU-1 and the National Park Service to conduct a survey on the USS Arizona Memorial. A critical part of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Force, MDSU-1 provides expeditionary and rapidly deployable diving and salvage companies capable of conducting harbor clearance, salvage, underwater search and recovery, and underwater emergency repair operations in support of the fleet and joint force.
