Gilchrist, Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel team leader, 81mm Mortar/TRAP Platoon, Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/5, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, discusses his view on a scripture he read in the bible during a bible study aboard the USS Peleliu, Sept. 27. Marines with BLT 3/5, 15th MEU have recently formed Darkhorse Disciples, a lay-led bible study, aboard the USS Peleliu. While infantry Marines founded the program, servicemembers of any rank or field are welcome to attend. Gilchrist, 24, is from Ft. Worth, Texas.
