After training all morning at the Combined Arms Collective Training Facility, known as the CACTIF, an urban warfare training complex on the Orchard Combat Training Center, soldiers from Charlie Company travel to the OCTC complex to clean their weapons before heading back to Gowen Field.
On the evening of Thursday, May 13, Charlie Company, one of three Combined Arms Battalions for the Idaho Army National Guard's 113th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team, returns back to Gowen Field from the dusty, sage brush environment of the Orchard Combat Training Center.
The men and women of C Company completed a successful and challenging annual training. The unit completed Bradley Gunnery Table VI, qualifying 11 Bradley crews. The dismount infantry squads completed their qualifications for all six squads. The training while in the field included situational challenges to recover downed vehicles as well as medical personnel’s ability to triage, render treatment and evacuate battlefield casualties.
