Roof-top construction is underway on an F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Hangar at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, July 19, 2021. MCAS Cherry Point is currently undergoing a modernization effort, with the ground breaking of the new hangar on Sept. 4, 2020, in order to house the fifth generation F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. With the addition of this aircraft to the installation, Cherry Point will be able to better support the nation and extend war-fighting capabilities. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
