U.S Army Corps of Engineers, Duluth Area Office Floating Plant crew designed and fabricated a screening machine to filter the debris from the beach on Minnesota Point. The crew placed a larger 1” Screen on top and the bottom screen contained ¼” openings. The crew placed the dredged material on the screen and utilized a vibrating mechanism and water to sort the rocks, wood debris and human made debris from the beach. The crew has completed all required cleanup areas on the beach from the FY20 Dredging contract
