Lt. Col. Alex Farr, an Army Reserve dentist from San Juan, Puerto Rico conducts a patient examination during a medical clinic offered by the Army Reserve's 7214 Medical Support Unit as part of Operation Walking Shield, an Innovative Readiness Training Event held at the Fort Belknap Reservation, Montana, July 18-31. The Department of Defense sponsored event partnered the Army Reserve Medical Command units, based in Garden Grove, Calif., with the Fort Belknap Agency and Hays Clinic to offer no cost medical, dental, optical and veterinary services to the tribal community while offering real world training opportunities for Army Reserve medical Soldiers to ensure deployment readiness while addressing needs within America’s local communities.
