210721-A-UH336-0016 ARABIAN GULF (July 21, 2021) – Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197), center, guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher (DDG 57) left, and guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61) conduct a replenishment-at-sea in the Arabian Gulf, July 21. Pecos, Mitscher and Monterey are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
