A new solar-powered energy distribution system is being tested near Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in the Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range, Calif., by Marines of Bravo Battery 1-10, based out of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 8. “This system can be used for anything. The COC (Central Operating Command), radios, laptops, charging the Howitzers, recharging batteries on our truck,” said Staff Sgt. Casey Bazor, Bravo Battery 1-10 Marines’ gun platoon sergeant and a native of Jacksonville, N.C. “I think it’ll be good for Marines in remote places.”
