CORAL SEA (July 27, 2021) Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit move cargo on the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) during a replenishment-at-sea with the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Alan Shepard (T-AKE 3) as part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 21. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
