210722-N-WQ732-1028 ARABIAN GULF (July 22, 2021) – Royal Navy frigate HMS Montrose (F 236), rear, operates in formation with amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LPD 50) during a maneuvering exercise with guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61), not pictured, in the Arabian Gulf, July 22. Montrose, Carter Hall and Monterey are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
