The Royal Air Force (RAF) and the 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade partnered to conduct a Joint Personnel Recovery exercise on July 26, 2021 at MK Air Base, Romania. U.S. Army UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters were used in the training event to transport a RAF extraction team to the landing site. By providing accessibility and capability to military resources, there is increased inoperability between the two NATO nations. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
