U.S. Army Col. Drake McGraw, Commander of the Area Support Group, Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, sets the first utility pole into place with a heavy crane, 29 May. It is the first pole of 108 that will allow Camp Bondsteel to connect to local prime power and end the use of generators on post. The project is being funded through the NATO Support and Procurement Activity and will save several million dollars a year in maintenance and fuel costs for U.S. Army Europe.
