Jewish Marines and sailors were able to celebrate Sukkot for the first time in Afghanistan with a kosher Sukkah, or temporary dwelling, used during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, Oct. 3. Lt. Cmdr. Neal Kreisler, the Marine Aircraft Group 11 command chaplain and Rabbi brought the structure from America specifically for deployed servicemembers to be able to celebrate the Jewish High Holy days in Afghanistan.
