SANTA RITA, Guam – UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters transport U.S. Army Green Berets assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), and members of Japan Ground Self-Defense Force to Naval Base Guam July 30, 2021. Defender Pacific 21 is a U.S. Army Pacific exercise that uses the National Defense Strategy by practicing the strategic deployment, command and control, and employment of combat credible forces into the region, and supports the Indo-Pacific Command’s Joint war fighting concepts.
