U.S. Army Col. Gunnar Kiersey, senior advisor to the office of the Army Surgeon General, U.S. Army Medical Command, Arlington, Virginia, and U.S. Air Force Col. Sidney Martin, are briefed by Thomas Merrill, a civilian technician for the Combat Capabilities Development Command, known as DEVCOM, Natick, Massachusetts, on the Interoperable Multi-Modal Patient Movement, a prototype medevac transport unit designed to provide patient movement (air, sea, rail and ground base) of larger numbers of casualties during Northern Strike 21-2 at the Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, Grayling, Michigan, Aug. 3, 2021. The container prototype was brought to Northern Strike 21-2 for testing and validation. Industry has objectives that are complimentary to what the military needs, and through innovative partnerships we can enhance not only Northern Strike capabilities, but those of the Department of Defense.
