210728-N-QR336-1001 KOROR, Palau (July 28, 2021) U.S. Air Force Pacific Airforce Commander Gen. Kenneth Wilsbach meets with leadership from the Civil Action Team and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Palau at Camp Katuu, Palau. This was Wilsbach’s first time visiting Palau. His primary purpose was to meet with the Palau president and other Palau representatives to establish a stronger tie between the U.S. and Pala, one of the U.S. partner nations in the Federated States of Micronesia. The U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are deployed, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening our network of allies and partners and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, California, NMCB-5 has 10 detail sites deployed throughout the U.S. and Indo-Pacific area of operations.
