Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and members of the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force launch combat rubber raiding crafts (CRRC) from the well deck during well deck operations aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46). Tortuga is part of the forward-deployed Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and is currently operating the 7th Fleet Area of Operations.
