Maintainers from the 127th Maintenance Group, Michigan Air National Guard, board a Illinois Air National Guard C-130 Hercules at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, Michigan, Aug. 3, 2021. The maintainers were airlifted to the Sawyer International Airport in the Upper Peninsula’s Gwinn, Michigan, to refuel and rearm two A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft from the 127th Fighter Squadron, who were participating in a combat search and rescue mission as part of the Northern Strike 21-2 exercise.
