U. S. Army Sgt. Alicia Plein, a water treatment specialist assigned to the 1034th Composite Supply Company, 185th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Iowa Army National Guard, measures chemicals in preparation to treat purified water in the load handling system comapatible water tank rack (HIPPO) at Howe's Lake, Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, Michigan, during Northern Strike 21-2, August 4, 2021. The 1034th CSC has supplied all water assets across the entire Northern Strike area of operations at Camp Grayling, including drinking water, cooking water, and the water to conduct shower and laundry operations in the field. Northern Strike provides an opportunity to build interoperability with other units and multinational partners while training in realistic multi-domain environments. This allows sustainment formations to train and test their ability to rapidly deploy, set the theater, re-sustain and provide timely support in a decisive action environment.
