U.S. Marine SSgt Charles Spory with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (VMGR-152) directs a forklift while unloading a C-130 at Subic Bay International Airport in Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines, Sept. 27, 2012. U.S. Marines with 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade arrived to Subic Bay International Airport in the C-130 manned by U.S. Marines with VMGR-152 in preparation for Amphibious Landing Exercise 2013 (PHIBLEX). PHIBLEX 2013 is a bilateral training exercise conducted annually in the Republic of the Philippines to enhance amphibious readiness of both militaries and to strengthen interoperability. New Initiatives for PHIBLEX 2013 include increased use of the Subic Metropolitan Authority areas, such as Subic International Airport as a Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief, Command and Control center, and Medical Capacity and building events in Zambales and Palawan.
