JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. (Aug. 8, 2021) Kelly Comardelle, a Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) watch officer, monitors the common operating picture to ensure it’s up to date and disseminates modifications to base orders to subordinate units during exercise Vibrant Response 21.2. The exercise enables JTF-CS to strengthen unique capabilities, including an ability to deploy on short notice into austere environments, which are not readily available in other federal agencies or in the private sector, allowing them to position the right people and resources for life-saving and life-sustaining actions during all-hazards defense support of civil authorities operations.
