U.S. Marine Sgt. Shane Butler, an instructor competitor with the Marine Corps Rifle Team, prepares for the National Trophy Team Match during the 2021 National Matches on Camp Perry, Ohio, Aug. 4, 2021. Participants competed with six-man-teams, each shooter firing a timed 100-point aggregate using national match M-16 A4 service rifles from the 200, 300 and 600 yard lines in sitting and standing positions. The National Matches, also called the “World Series of Shooting Sports,” have been a tradition on Camp Perry since 1907. More than 4,500 participants compete annually.
