During a simulated mass casualty exercise a U.S. Marine and U.S. Sailor are transported in the Interoperable Multi-Modal Patient Movement (MM/PM), a prototype medevac transport unit during Northern Strike 21-2 at the Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center, Grayling, Michigan, Aug. 10, 2021. The MM/PM is designed to provide patient movement (air, sea, rail and ground base) of larger numbers of casualties. The container prototype was brought to Northern Strike 21-2 for testing and validation. Industry has objectives that are complementary to what the military needs, and through innovative partnerships will work to enhance not only Northern Strike capabilities, but those of the Department of Defense.
