U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Tyler Groat, a crew chief with the 126th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Illinois Air National Guard, returns the fuel hose to the fuel specialist after a hot refuel with a KC-135 Stratotanker, Aug. 11, 2021, at the 33rd Powidz Airlift Base, Republic of Poland. This is the first ever hot refuel of a KC-135 in Eastern Europe. During a hot refuel the KC-135 leaves one jet engine running, this allows for faster turnaround so the KC-135 can return to the air to refuel more jets. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt.
