210810-N-NT795-796 BANGOR, Wash., (Aug. 10, 2021) Sailors assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron (MSRON) 11 High Value Unit (HVU) Pacific Northwest, joint with U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Force Protection Unit (MFPU) conducts simulated high value asset protection drills as part of MSRON 11’s unit level training and readiness assessment-sustainment (ULTRA-S) certification provided by Maritime Expeditionary Security Group (MESG) 1 Training Evaluation Unit. The primary mission of MESF is to conduct maritime security operations across all phases of military operations by defending high value assets, critical maritime infrastructure, ports, and harbors both inland and on coastal waterways against enemies and when commanded conduct offensive combat operations.
