Spc. Ezenwosu, of Nigeria, first visited the U.S. in January 2017 and later decided to move to Oklahoma from his home country. He said he joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a means to contribute to society and achieve his dream of becoming a U.S. citizen. Ezenwosu became a U.S. citizen on April 16, 2021.
