210805-N-PC065-1007 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 5, 2021) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Dazanae Jones, assigned to San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24), directs the movement of a Mark 18 Mod 2 unmanned underwater vehicle onto an 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 6, in Arlington’s well deck Aug. 5, 2021, as Arlington Sailors participate in Large-Scale Exercise (LSE) 2021. LSE 2021 demonstrates the Navy’s ability to employ precise, lethal, and overwhelming force globally across three naval component commands, five numbered fleets, and 17 time zones while merging live and synthetic training capabilities that help create a dynamic training environment. LSE 2021 will connect high-fidelity training and real-world operations to build knowledge and skills needed in today’s complex, multi-domain, and contested environment.
