Since its organization 7-12 July, 1918 in the Regular U.S. Army in France as Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, over 100 years ago, V Corps has looked out for our nation’s interests, serving in some of the most important and difficult campaigns. The Corps emerged from World War I with the title “Victory Corps,” in recognition of its hard fighting and the rapid advances it made during the Lorraine, St. Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne campaigns.
