Sailors sell t-shirts for Breast Cancer Awareness Month on the mess decks aboard amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign held in October to raise awareness, share information about the disease and provide greater access to services and resources. Sailors aboard Bonhomme Richard can wear the T-shirts all month as a part of their uniforms to show their support. Bonhomme Richard, commanded by Capt. Daniel Dusek, is the lead ship of the only forward-deployed amphibious ready group and is currently operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
