Senior Airman Hunter Clark, 31st Maintenance Squadron transient alert journeyman, attaches a lifting sling onto a U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Aug. 13, 2021. Airmen assigned to the 31st MXS and 52nd MXS performed an annual Crash, Damaged or Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) lift certification to recertify on the correct procedures of lifting an aircraft during an emergency. The lifting sling was used to keep the F-16 stable during the lift. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Brooke Moeder)
