Soldiers with 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division conduct a rehearsal of concept drill at the Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group near Fort Bliss, Texas, Aug. 19, 2021, in preparation to receive Afghans. The Department of Defense, in support of the Department of State, is providing transportation and temporary housing in support of Operation Allies Refuge. This initiative follows through on America's commitment to Afghan citizens who have helped the United States, and provides them essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan.
