A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 86th Airlift Wing Medical Group, places a band-aid on the foot of an evacuee during Operation Allies Refuge Aug. 25, 2021 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The 86th MDG is providing medical and dental support for evacuees until they can be transported to more permanent resettlement locations. Team Ramstein is providing safe, temporary lodging for evacuees from Afghanistan. Operation Allies Refuge is facilitating the quick, safe evacuation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigrant Visa applicants, and other at-risk Afghans from Afghanistan.
