210827-N-GR655-008 GROTON, Conn. (August 27, 2021) – Cmdr. Matthew Beach arrives at a change-of-command ceremony for the future USS Hyman G. Rickover (SSN 795) onboard the historic ship Nautilus in Groton, Conn., Aug. 27. Beach relieved Cmdr. Thomas Niebel as commanding officer of the Los Angeles-class submarine, which operates under Submarine Squadron (SUBRON) FOUR and its primary mission is to provide fast-attack submarines that are ready, willing, and able to meet the unique challenges of undersea combat and deployed operations in unforgiving environments across the globe.
