210828-N-OX321-1011 NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Aug. 28, 2021) Aircraft maintenance members from the 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing work with the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircrew from the Heavy Airlift Wing, upon the aircraft’s arrival with evacuees from Afghanistan to Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella, Aug. 28, 2021. NAS Sigonella is currently supporting Department of State mission to facilitate the safe departure and relocation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigration Visa recipients, and vulnerable populations from Afghanistan.
