World War II reenactors and other participants conduct static displays featuring World War II-era vehicles, weapons and equipment during a community event at Fort I, a historical landmark also known as “Toruń Fortress” in Toruń, Poland, on Aug. 21, 2021. This community event features a new exhibit inside the fort commemorating U.S. Army Air Force campaigns in Poland, as well as stories of U.S. and Polish forces working together during World War II. Not pictured is a static display conducted by the U.S. Army’s 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery (1-5 FA) that features modern-day military equipment. The 1-5 FA is based in Fort Riley, Kansas.
