Aleksandr Yarovinskiy explains the workings of a non-flying drone mock-up he built to develop and verify the accuracy of the laser positioning system he designed so a drone would be able to safely and accurately navigate inside the main chamber of the Benefield Anechoic Facility. Yarovinskiy has secured funding from SparkED, the 412th Test Wing’s innovation team, to design, build, test and deliver a drone that has the potential to expand and enhance the BAF’s data-capture capabilities.
