NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (Aug. 10, 2021) Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Yuankun Xia, a native of St. Augustine, Fla., dresses out in his search-and-rescue (SAR) gear prior to conducting training on board Naval Base San Diego. The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is a fast, agile, mission-focused platform designed to operate in near-shore environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
