WHITE BEACH, Japan (Sept. 3, 2021) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Shanice Olivier, from Rockland, New York, and assigned to Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa port operations, secures a fender as Independence-class littoral combat ship USS Tulsa (LCS 16) as it departs Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa White Beach Naval Facility, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 3, 2021. Tulsa conducted a brief stop for resupply at CFAO White Beach Naval Facility. Tulsa, part of Destroyer Squadron Seven, is on a rotational deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
