210901-N-RP125-1004 BAUCAU, Timor-Leste (Sept 1, 2021) Builder Third Class Ammon Somer, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, cuts rebar to prepare for concrete placement. The U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are constructing the schoolhouse to support the local Ministry of Education. NMCB-5 is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening a network of allies and partners, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces.
