    The 40th Army Band, from the Vermont Army National Guard based in Colchester, Vermont, traveled to perform in support of the commissioning ceremony for the U.S.S. Vermont, held at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Connecticut, Aug. 28, 2021. The Virginia class, nuclear powered attack submarine is the third U.S. Navy vessel to be named Vermont and was supporting by the Vermont National Guard including a band performance and flyover by F-35A Lightning II aircraft from the 158th Fighter Wing.
