After four years of active duty service at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, Senior Airman Jessica Selissen returned to Michigan in 2019 and joined the Michigan Air National Guard’s 217th Communications Squadron at Battle Creek Air National Guard Base. She is using her GI Bill benefits to attend Northern Michigan University, and is pursuing a degree in multi-media production with a minor in journalism.
She knows how important it is for veterans and their families to get the benefits they earned. According to Selissen, informing veterans about what’s available to them is another reason for the podcast.
