U.S. Army Parachute Riggers assigned to the 5th Quartermaster Theater Aerial Delivery Company brief Special Operations Paratroopers from the 63rd Parachute Brigade, Serbian Armed Forces on the rigging and functions of the cargo delivery system on a training humanitarian aid package. These cargo drops will be delivered in conjunction with a joint force airborne operation to be conducted by the 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion (Airborne) and the 63rd Parachute Brigade in the coming days of the exercise. This training is part of Exercise Skybridge 21 in the Medja Training Area in Niš, Serbia on Sept. 14, 2021.
Skybridge 21 is a bi-lateral training exercise taking place in Serbia from Sept. 13 - 17, 2021.
Paratroopers of both the 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion (Airborne), 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 63rd Parachute Brigade, Serbian Armed Forces are working alongside supporting components in order to conduct a joint force airborne operation with a training aerial humanitarian aid package delivery. This exercise enhances the interoperability of allied and partner nations by demonstrating the unit’s ability to readily respond to any crisis.
The 173d Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, Africa and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
