U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Clement C. Pearson Jr., the former sergeant major of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), reports to Col. Dennis W. Sampson, the commanding officer of the 26th MEU, during a retirement ceremony on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 17, 2021. During the ceremony, Pearson was retired after 30 years of faithful service in the United States Marine Corps.
