PATUXENT RIVER, Maryland (Sept. 21, 2021) - Capt. John J. Brabazon, NAS Patuxent River commanding officer, left, briefs Vice Adm. Yancy B. Lindsey, Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), on installation operations from atop the Pax River Air Traffic Control Tower during an official site visit Sept. 21.
NAS Patuxent River is one of 70 installations worldwide overseen by CNIC, and unique as the only naval air station in Naval District Washington. While at Pax, Lindsey was briefed on NAS Patuxent River and tenant commands’ missions, and toured facilities on NAS Pax River, Webster Outlying Field, and Naval Recreation Center Solomons, speaking with Sailors and DoN civilian personnel.
