NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Sept. 20, 2021) – Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conduct close-quarters combat training at the U.S. Coast Guard Patrol Forces Southwest Asia Maritime Engagement Team training facility onboard Naval Support Activity Bahrain, Sept. 20. The 11th MEU is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
