TUMON, Guam (Sept. 11, 2021) - Joint Region Marianas Commander Rear Adm. Benjamin Nicholson joined Governor of Guam Lourdes Leon Guerrero, Lt. Governor Joshua Tenorio, and various island dignitaries for a 9/11 Wreath Laying Ceremony honoring the 20th Anniversary of the tragic events in our nation’s history. Nicholson delivered remarks during the solemn event and encouraged those with direct memories of 9/11 to educate the younger audiences about the devastation of that day, but more importantly the resilience and fortitude of the American people. The event was hosted by the Rotary Club of Northern Guam at the Two Lover’s Point Peace Memorial in Tumon. (U.S. Navy photo by Rey Rabara)
