Participants of a ‘Sip and Cook’ event discuss different Hispanic dish recipes at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Sept. 25, 2021. The ‘Sip and Cook’ event was intended to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which is recognized every year from September 15 – October 15. The observation of Hispanic Heritage Month began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week, and was later expanded to cover a month-long period by former President Ronald Reagan in 1988.
